
FLASH: NIGERIAN NAVY ARREST 10 SUSPECTED PIPELINE VANDALS IN LAGOS
On August 20, 2023, at 2:00 a.m., Nigerian Navy agents in Lagos State detained 10 accused pipeline thieves who were trying to take crude oil from the sea at the Single Point Mooring buoy, a Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited facility.
According to the information that is currently available, the suspects arrived in three speedboats with over 100 50-liter jerry cans and other items connected to drain the product from the vessel before their illegal activity was discovered by the electronic technology device for intruders on the board of the SBM run by the NNPCL.
The public security agency has been given the suspects so they can conduct their due diligence in the interim.
