US CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE INVITES PRESIDENT TINUBU TO RING NASDAQ CLOSING BELL
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been invited by the US Chamber of Commerce to ring the NASDAQ (National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotations) closing bell on September 20, 2023.
By volume, the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) is the most popular place to trade stocks in the US, while NASDAQ is ranked second.
The bell-ringing event with President Tinubu will take place in conjunction with the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), according to a statement released by the US Chamber of Commerce on Monday.
When the closing bell sounds, the trading day’s trading session has come to an end.
It will happen in the NASDAQ corporate office in New York.
The ceremony, according to NASDAQ, “symbolises the importance of the economic ties between the United States and Nigeria.”
According to the release, “We hope that this celebration and the dialogue as part of the U.S.-Nigeria Executive Business Dialogue serve to further strengthen economic ties and improve cooperation between the U.S. and Nigerian business communities.”
The US Chamber of Commerce is the biggest commercial organisation in the world, and it represents businesses of all sizes in every sphere of the economy.
Members range from top industry associations and huge enterprises to small businesses and regional chambers of commerce.
