POLICE SUMMONS OFFICERS FOR ESCORTING ADAMAWA VARSITY STUDENT UNION PRESIDENT
The Nigerian Police Force has summoned the two armed officers in a video making rounds on social media, for escorting a young man identified as the student union president in Adamawa state varsity.
These was made known in a post on X by the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi.
The post reads, “These policemen have been identified. They are to report to the FHQ for further actions. There is no room for indecency, complacency, and unethical conducts.”
In the video posted on X by The Nation shows the arrival of the said students’ union leader at a convention with two armed policemen walking beside his car while other students hail and cheer him.
Some Nigerians on X (formerly Twitter) have lambasted the Nigeria Police Force after a video of armed police officers escorting a young man identified as the newly elected President of Adamawa State University Students’ Union Government, surfaced online.
The video posted on X by The Nation shows the arrival of the said students’ union leader at a convention with two armed policemen walking beside his car while other students hail and cheer him.
A student also opened the door for the SUG president after the car came to a halt. Reacting to the video, @MeekjucoJac said, “Immediately Nigeria man is giving power they automatically becomes god instead of servant. Madness in practice.”
