LOBI BOSS DEFENDS SQUAD ROTATION IN FEDERATION CUP FINAL WIN
Lobi Stars head coach, Eugene Agagbe says the decision to rotate his squad in the Benue State Federation Cup is to improve the fitness of the players.
The Pride of Benue defeated Flight FC 2-1 to win the Benue State Federation Cup.
Agagbe believed that the move will be an added advantage to the team in their quest to win the Nigeria Premier Football League title.
Lobi Stars will be in action against Sporting Lagos in a matchday 28 fixture on Wednesday.
The game is slated for the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan.
“The players’ rotation in the state Federation Cup was an opportunity to allow the other lads to showcase their talents and also improve their fitness which will be useful going back to the league,” he told the club’s media.
Lobi Stars occupy second position on the NPFL table.
