NPFL: BEAT KWARA UNITED FOR OUR FANS — 3SC CHIEF CHARGES PLAYERS
The Executive Chairman of Shooting Stars Sports Club, Honourable Babatunde Olaniyan Akoro, has charged the players of the Oluyole Warriors to go for the maximum points against Kwara United of Ilorin on Wednesday.
Ahead of the Matchday 28 cracker billed for the Lekan Salami Stadium, the 3SC helmsman, while addressing the players after their training on Monday evening, urged them to win the encounter to wipe the memories of the painful 1-2 loss to to Niger Tornadoes on Matchday 27.
“That loss in Kaduna was a setback for us. If we had won that game, we would have been among the top four teams on the log by now.
“However, on Wednesday, I want you to pacify the fans with a comprehensive win over Kwara United and I know you can do it”, stated the former Deputy Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly.
He urged the players to approach the remaining matches with zeal, commitment and determination, adding that season has got to a crucial stage where games will get tougher.
“In particular, I want you to get maximum points away from home because that will go a long way in helping us to actualise our dream for the season.
“I must tell you, no team can yet lay claim to the league title. The race is still open and when you look at the point difference, you will agree with me that it is still wide open”, added the retired referee, who assured the players of the management’s continued commitment to their welfare.”
