LASUTH CELEBRATES RETIRED MEMBERS OF STAFF
The Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) on Friday celebrated its esteemed retirees in a heartwarming ceremony held at the hospital premises.
The event, organised by LASUTH management, served as a poignant acknowledgment of the dedication and commitment demonstrated by the retirees throughout their years of service.
Amidst an atmosphere filled with gratitude and nostalgia, LASUTH management, along with colleagues, friends and family members00, gathered to celebrate the retirees who have devoted their time and expertise to the hospital’s mission of providing exceptional healthcare services.
The Chief Medical Director, Prof. Adetokunbo O. Fabamwo expressed sincere appreciation to God on behalf of the retirees, just as he acknowledged and commended the retirees for their commitment to excellence that has left an indelible mark on the hospital.
The CMD recounted some of the accomplishments the hospital has attained over the years, highlighting advancements in terms of clinical services, infrastructural development and the establishment of five training schools, which include the recently inaugurated Caregiver Academy.

Additionally, he announced that retirees can now access free medical consultations and medications at the hospital Staff Clinic and Pharmacy.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Lagos State, Dr. Olusegun Ogboye, represented by Mr. Semi Martins, Deputy Director of Administration and Human Resource, Ministry of Health, extended his good wishes to the retirees for their dedication to service and contributions to LASUTH and the health sector of Lagos State.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Director of Hospital Administration and Human Resources, Mr. Jelili Babatunde Oyekan commended and applauded the retirees for their relentless commitment and efforts to the hospital during their years of service, noting that it has impacted the lives of many in Lagos State and beyond.
Prof. Adebowale O. Adekoya, the Director of Clinical Services and Training, while congratulating the retirees, emphasised the importance of enrolling in the Lagos State Health Insurance Scheme, imploring them to take advantage of the scheme and access quality healthcare services.
Dr. Mutiu Afariogun, who spoke on behalf of all the retirees, appreciated the hospital management and the Lagos State Government for putting together such a befitting ceremony in acknowledgment of their years in service.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of gifts to the Retirees as an appreciation for their meritorious contributions while in service. The event also provided an opportunity for colleagues and well-wishers to convey their best wishes to celebrants.
