The President of the Nigeria Olympic Committee, NOC, Habu Gumel, has expressed optimism about the performance of the 76 athletes set to participate in 11 events at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

Gumel further reassured sports enthusiasts that the athletes would inspire the nation and admirers worldwide.

Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, who also spoke at the event, said his administration will continue to support young athletes, improve sports infrastructure, and encourage active lifestyles to build a stronger and healthier community.

The State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Joseph Joshua, encouraged the Nigerian contingent to the Olympics to remain focused and determined.
