Grammy Award winner, Burna Boy, has become the first African artiste to hit the two billion streams mark in the United Kingdom.

During his packed performance at Koko Camden in London on Monday night, the “Twice as Tall” crooner received a Brit Plaque as honour for the achievement.

This achievement was achieved just a few weeks after he was given a Brit 1 billion streaming plaque during his June sold-out London Stadium event.

When Burna Boy accepted the Brit 2 billion streaming award in a widely shared video, he declared, “I fought for it.”

He said, “Thank you very much. I appreciate you. Ehen, now that’s it. You’ve to fight for your right.”

One of the presenters inferred saying, “You already have it. You don’t need to fight.”

Burna Boy rebuffed adding, “No. You know, we have to fight for our rights.”

The renowned “African Giant” has maintained his media attention thanks to his electrifying performances throughout Europe and other regions of the world.

He sold out big performances in the United Kingdom over the first part of the year, solidifying his reputation as a “Afrobeat Ambassador” and increasing his appeal on a global scale.
