MAN CITY JOIN RACE FOR CRYSTAL PALACE STAR, EBERECHI EZE
Manchester City are considering a move for £68million Crystal Palace playmaker Eberechi Eze, Mirror reports.
City are weighing up their options with Saudi side Al-Ittihad dangling a lucrative contract in front of 33-year-old Kevin de Bruyne.
Eze has attracted the interest of Tottenham who are looking for more quality between the lines.
But, should City follow up their interest, the north Londoners would be powerless to prevent the player succumbing to the lure of the Etihad.
City have a long-standing admiration for Eze, one of the biggest talents in the Premier League outside the top four.
He has three years left on his contract at Palace and a release clause of £60m plus add-ons.
The south London club will not allow him to leave for any less. Especially after losing another of their rising stars, Michael Olise, to Bayern Munich.
The defending champions are particularly impressed by his low maintenance temperament and his versatility, as he can play in a number of positions.
Last season he was outstanding for Palace, despite having his campaign interrupted by injury. He scored 11 times and provided four assists to lift Oliver Glasner’s side into a tenth-place finish in the Premier League.
