NATIONWIDE PROTEST: MOTHER WITH BABY CONFRONTS POLICE AFTER TEARGAS, PEPPER SPRAY USED ON PROTESTERS
Officers of the Nigeria Police at Eagles Square in Abuja dispersed protesters using canisters and pepper spray.
At 10:30 am, the police initially fired non-lethal warning shots at the ground before deploying canisters.
An enraged protester, holding up a baby, confronted the officers and dared them to shoot.
Other protesters soon joined her in confronting the police and challenging them to fire.
In response, the police used pepper spray, followed by teargas canisters to disperse the crowd.

As of the time of this report, it is unknown if the police have arrested the woman who confronted them with a baby.
