HOODLUMS VANDALIZE BANK, SET SECURITY VEHICLE AND KASTLEA OFFICE ON FIRE IN KADUNA
On Monday, hoodlums disguised as protesters vandalized a branch of a new generation bank in Tudun Wada, Kaduna South Local Government Area, Kaduna State.
Mansir Hassan, the spokesman for the State Police Command, confirmed this in a phone interview with Channels Television.
He reported that the hoodlums broke into the bank, stole valuables, and damaged vehicles parked on the premises.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Hassan also refuted rumors that the protesters had seized a police armored personnel carrier at Tudun Wada.
He explained that the driver of the armored vehicle managed to navigate through the crowd of protesters, who had climbed onto the vehicle, avoiding the use of maximum force since it was carrying live ammunition.
Additionally, the police confirmed that hoodlums burned a security patrol vehicle belonging to the Kaduna State Vigilance Service in Rigasa, Igabi Local Government Area, and set fire to the Zaria office of the Kaduna State Traffic Law Enforcement Agency (KASTLEA).
