ASSESSMENT TOUR: PMO TEAM VISITS COUNCIL FOR ARTS, CULTURE
The Parastatal Monitoring Office (PMO), has paid a working visit to the Lagos State Council for Arts and Culture (LSCAC) for an assessment of the Agency’s performance and adherence to its mandates.
The Permanent Secretary, Parastatal Monitoring Office (PMO), Mrs. Adetutu Ososanya, who led the PMO team, said the visit aims to evaluate the Council’s effectiveness in promoting cultural programmes, maintaining infrastructure, engaging communities, and managing administrative processes.
She noted that LSCAC has successfully organised various cultural events with a strong community involvement. However, the PS pointed out the need for more infrastructure improvements and efficient resource allocation.
Ososanya also gave several suggestions, including upgrading cultural facilities, expanding outreach programmes, and streamlining administrative processes.
The PMO team praised LSCAC’s efforts in promoting Lagos State’s cultural heritage and commended their innovative approaches, commitment to excellence, and collaborative efforts with other organisations, adding that LSCAC’s proactive response to the feedback demonstrates its dedication to maintaining high standards in its operations and services home and abroad.
Responding, the CEO. Lagos State Council for Arts and Culture, Mr. Idowu Johnson thanked the team for the visit, support and suggestions, maintaining that the council is committed to addressing the inadequacy of all the noted areas for improvement.
Mrs. Ososanya and her team inspected key facilities, reviewed cultural programmes, and discussed the Council’s community engagement initiatives.
