JUST IN: BRUNO LABBADIA REPORTEDLY TURNS DOWN OFFER TO BECOME S’EAGLES’ COACH
According to reports, Bruno Labbadia has broken off communication with the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, and will no longer become the head coach of the senior national team, the Super Eagles, as earlier announced.
It was gathered from multiple sources that the recruitment process was stalled over organisational issues that could not be resolved.
The NFF announced Labbadia as the new head coach on August 27 as a replacement for Finidi George.
Labbadia was expected to lead Nigeria in the Nations Cup double-header against Benin Republic and Rwanda next month.
A list of 23 players has already been unveiled to prosecute the fixtures before the latest development.
