CRIME: EFCC ARRESTS 13 SUSPECTED INTERNET FRAUDSTERS IN SOKOTO
The Sokoto Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has detained 13 suspected online fraudsters in Sokoto, Sokoto State.
They were arrested on Saturday in Sokoto’s Gidan Yaro and Dandima districts based on actionable intelligence on their suspected involvement in internet-related offences, according to an official statement issued by the EFCC on Monday via X.
The agency noted that all of the suspects claimed to be students at Usman Danfodio University in Sokoto.
When the investigations are completed, they will face charges in court.
