
FEMI ADEBAYO’S JAGUNJAGUN DOMINATES BON AWARDS 2024 WITH 12 NOMINATIONS
Filmmaker and Nollywood star Femi Adebayo’s epic Yoruba Netflix Original film JagunJagun has garnered twelve nominations for the esteemed 2024 Best of Nollywood Awards (BON).
Recent news indicates that the 2023 film has received seven nominations for the 2024 Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA).
As of late, the movie that took home two prizes at the 2024 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) has been nominated for twelve different BON Awards categories.
When Femi Adebayo revealed the nominations on his verified Instagram account on Saturday, he showed off his joy for the new achievement made by the film.
He wrote, “Wow Guys! We’ve done it Again !! Delighted to announce that JAGUN JAGUN – THE WARRIOR (a Netflix Original Movie) has been nominated for Twelve (12) Awards at the 2024 BON Awards.”
The 2024 BON nominations for the movie include categories such as Best Cinematography, Best Supporting Actor, Director of the Year, Best Costume, Best Actor, Best Sound, Best Actress, Best Soundtrack, Best Indigenous, Best Production Design, Best Use of Makeup, and Best Special Effect.
The blockbuster movie tells the story of a warlord (Ogundiji) who feels threatened by the potential of a young warrior school student (Gbotija).
Femi Adebayo produced it, and Adebayo Tijani and Tope Adebayo co-directed it. A number of well-known Nollywood performers, including Femi Adebayo, Odunlade Adekola, Adebayo Salami, Dele Odule, Muyiwa Ademola, Fathia Balogun, and Lateef Adedimeji, are in the movie.
