IN LAGOS TAXI, THREE SUSPECTS WERE ARRESTED WITH HUMAN TONGUES
The Lagos State Police officers have arrested three suspects in connection with the possession of human parts, specifically suspected tongues.
On October 15, 2024, during a regular stop-and-search operation on the Otedola Bridge, the Rapid Response Squad’s agents apprehended the suspects, Isah Amohullahi 30, and Abubakar Isah 32, respectively.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the suspects’ arrest on Tuesday, stating that the body parts were discovered in a taxi with the accused.
He claimed that additional inquiries resulted in the arrest of Gbolahan Temidayo, the person from whom the tongues were purportedly bought, in Oyingbo Market, Lagos.
In a statement, Hundeyin confirmed the arrests and said the case was being investigated.
“The investigation is ongoing at the command headquarters, and if found culpable, the suspects will be charged in court,” he said.
