
CRIME: MAN KILLS WIFE, INJURE POLICEMAN IN EBONYI
In the Ebonyi state capital of Abakaliki, a man named Chima Eseni is said to have killed his wife, Ugo Chma, during a fight.
According to reports, the man hurt a police officer who was attempting to break up a disagreement between him and his wife.
The incident, which took place in the capital city along Ogbaga Road in Kpirikpiri, drew neighbours, supporters, and onlookers to the area.
It was discovered that prior to the recent altercation in which the woman died, the pair had been having unresolvable problems.
According to an eyewitness, the wife allegedly fainted after the male struck her during the midnight altercation.
The deceased was taken to the hospital through the efforts of other neighbours and sympathizers but she passed away in the hospital.
He said that when one of their neighbours who is a policeman got wind of it, he rushed to the couple’s house to separate the fight.
” Eseni who was angry, attacked him and gave him serious injuries”
Meanwhile, the suspect has been arrested by the police over the incident.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Joshua Ukandu who confirmed his arrest said he would be charged in court after the investigation.
