VERYDARKMAN LABELS EFCC CHAIRMAN OLUKOYEDE INCOMPETENT OVER YAHAYA BELLO CASE

On Monday, social media critic Martins Ortse, also known as VeryDarkMan, called Ola Olukoyede, the chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), “incompetent.”

Olukoyede is incompetent, according to VeryDarkMan, because he failed to apprehend former Kogi State governor Yahaya Bello after designating him sought since April.

Bello was charged by the EFCC with suspected money laundering offenses totaling N80.2 billion during his tenure as Kogi State governor.

The Commission had placed Bello on wanted list, but the former governor reportedly presented himself to the anti-graft body.

According to reports, Bello was freed even though the EFCC had declared him wanted.

VeryDarkMan, in a post on Instagram on Monday, said: “Ola Olukoyede is a symbol of incompetence, mediocrity and I call him a clown.

“Why did I call him a clown? On April 18 he posted that Yahaya Bello is wanted by the EFCC. On the same day he posted that ‘N80.2bn money laundering, Bello’s absence stalls arraignment’.

“Since April EFCC posted that Yahaya Bello was wanted, it has been story upon story. Within all these, EFCC has been able to arraign over 100 people. The money from all these people is not up to N120 million unlike Bello.

“@officialefcc the clowns of all agencies tell your Chairman he is a big clown. The only grace you have is the fact that the youths are always carried away.

“Your office shouldn’t be existing again, arresting young boys everyday and neglecting the real fraudsters.”
