JUST IN: SEYI MAKINDE PRESENTS STAFF OF OFFICE TO NEW ALAAFIN OF OYO

Governor Seyi Makinde officially handed over the Staff of Office to the newly appointed Alaafin of Oyo, Abimbola Owoade.
The presentation took place at the governor’s office in Ibadan, the state capital, on Monday.
Recall that Prince Owoade was announced on Friday by the state government as the Alaafin-elect, to succeed late Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, the 44th Alaafin of Oyo, who passed on two years ago.

Makinde confirmed Owoade’s appointment in a statement released on Friday by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Dotun Oyelade.
The presentation was attended by the kingmakers, also known as the Oyomesi, senior government officials, and prominent figures from the state.
