BREAKING: CUSTOMS REVENUE GREW BY 90.4%, REACHING N6.1TRN IN 2024 – CG ADENIYI
Bashir Adeniyi, the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, announced that the service generated N6.1 trillion in revenue for 2024, marking a 90.4% increase from the N3.2 trillion collected in 2023.
He shared this information during a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday.
Adeniyi highlighted that the service exceeded its 2024 revenue goal of N5.07 trillion by 22%. He also mentioned that the highest revenue collection occurred in October, with N603 billion collected.
“Unprecedented performance in 2024, the service recorded N6.105.315 trillion. This is above the N5.07 trillion 2024 revenue target by 22 percent, “he stated.
