NYSC REFUTES CLAIMS ABOUT PROSPECTIVE CORPS MEMBERS STILL AWAITING CALL-UP NUMBERS
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has called the information circulating in some media outlets misleading, which suggests that Prospective Corps Members who have not yet received their Call-Up Numbers should go to the State Secretariats of the Scheme to obtain them.
The NYSC clarified that such messages should be disregarded by the public, as they did not originate from the official Scheme.
The organization stated that all communication with Prospective Corps Members is conducted through their individual dashboards and the Scheme’s officially approved social media channels.
“For the avoidance of doubt, all Prospective Corps Members that are yet to receive their Call-Up-Numbers are enjoined to exercise patience, keep checking their dashboards and also visit the NYSC Social Media Platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram, Thread), for update,” a statement signed by Caroline Embu, Acting Director Information & Public Relations, said.
Recently, the NYSC also addressed a misleading publication regarding a query issued to around 200 corps members.
The Scheme refuted the circulating story that the corps members were queried for failing to participate in a Christmas Carol event.
