Actress Toyin Abraham of Nollywood has spoken out after winning a significant prize at the recently concluded Silverbird Awards.

The actress will get a Trailblazer award at the 2024 Silverbird Man of the Year ceremony for her fearlessness, energy, and role-redefining of Nollywood, according to a report by Kemi Filani last week.

Toyin was honored with the award on Sunday. She wrote an emotional message on her Instagram page, stating that the honor serves as a reminder that dedication, hard work, and enthusiasm are always appreciated. “I am an inspiration to all dreamers who dare to push boundaries and break barriers,” she said.

The single mother said that although the path hasn’t always been straightforward, each obstacle has helped to mold her, each failure has made her stronger, and each triumph has given her more drive.

Every young girl who dares to dream, every filmmaker who never gives up, and everyone who believes in the power of narrative are the people Toyin gave her award to.
