
41-YEAR-OLD MAN HACKS FATHER’S TENANT TO DEATH IN ONDO
A 41-year-old man, Odunayo Olomolatan, has allegedly hacked a 22-year-old lady, Joy Tale, to death in Ode-Irele, the headquarters of Irele Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The incident occurred on Monday during a heated argument that ensued between the duo. Odunayo is said to be the son of the deceased’s landlord.
The suspect was arrested and handed over to the police.
The Public Relations Officer of Ondo State Police Command, Olusola Ayanlade, confirmed the incident in a telephone conversation.
He informed that the police have commenced a detailed investigation into the incident.
Meanwhile, a motor grader has crushed a mother and her child to death in an Ondo community.
A motor grader has reportedly crushed a middle-aged woman and her child to death in Ute, a community in Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The tragic incident was a result of brake failure in a grader owned by the local government. The grader has since been impounded, and the operator is being interrogated.
The incident was announced in a statement issued by the Chairman of the Local Government, Kolapo Ojo, who expressed deep sorrow over the unfortunate deaths and extended condolences to the grieving family.
Police authorities also confirmed the incident to newsmen.
The Ondo Police Command spokesman said that the deceased have yet to be identified.
But the police said that an investigation is ongoing to unravel more facts about the incident.
