In celebration of this year’s Children’s Day, Adorable Women International (AWI), a global non-profit and non-governmental organization based in Ibadan, extended its philanthropic outreach to Cornerstone Tuition-Free School in Papalanto, Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State.
Led by its President, Adorable Zainab Monilola Akim-Yusuf, the group donated school uniforms, exercise books, biros, and pencils to over 200 students and pupils of the school. The gesture is part of AWI’s ongoing mission to support the less privileged and foster educational development in underserved communities.
In her remarks, Mrs. Akim-Yusuf praised the founder and proprietor of the school, Evangelist Abraham Olorunimilo, for his visionary initiative in establishing a tuition-free school. She described the project as a “remarkable humanitarian effort worthy of emulation and broad-based support,” and commended the volunteer teachers who have sustained the institution’s operations.
As part of its support, AWI also presented a cash donation to the school’s management and staff to further encourage their dedication and commitment.
In response, Evangelist Olorunimilo expressed heartfelt gratitude to AWI for being the first NGO to assist the school since its inception. He noted that AWI went a step further by providing food and entertainment to ensure that the Children’s Day celebration was both exciting and memorable for the students, staff, and parents.
“This visit has renewed our hope. We are thankful to AWI and look forward to a long-lasting partnership. We also hope this will inspire other NGOs and well-meaning individuals to come to the aid of this noble cause,” he said.
AWI’s intervention at Cornerstone Tuition-Free School underscores its commitment to education, empowerment, and community development across Nigeria and beyond.
