I’M LOSING MY MIND AGAIN – OMAH LAY
By Shodayo Sunmisola Michael
Nigerian artist, Stanley Omah Didia, widely recognized as Omah Lay, has alarmed his followers by disclosing that his struggle with depression has resurfaced.
In a candid discourse on Snapchat, the ‘Soso’ artist suggested that his recent bout of depression stemmed from his recording agreement and professional music engagements.
Omah Lay attributed responsibility to both his manager and his younger self for consenting to certain contracts.
He remarked, “F**k contacts. F**k labels. F**k the music business. F**k my younger self. F**k my manager.
“God please, I’m losing my mind again.”

Omah Lay’s outburst comes just weeks after he distanced himself from his manager, Muyiwa Awoniyi.
Awoniyi had implied in a statement on social media that he and the musician parted ways on good terms. However, Omah Lay’s label mate, Kaestyle, asserted that Awoniyi was dismissed.
In his debut album, ‘Boy Alone’, released on July 15, 2022, Omah Lay openly discussed his battles with depression.
On July 18, 2022, he conveyed through his X account that his depression intensified following a sexual encounter with his therapist.
