2027: CITYBOY MOVEMENT TARGETS 250,000 OSUN YOUTHS FOR TINUBU’S RE-ELECTION

The CityBoy Movement has commenced a drive to register 250,000 youths in Osun State as members of the group within the next 30 days ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The movement, convened by Seyi Tinubu, is focused on mobilising grassroots support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu.
Speaking at the inauguration of the Osun State Executive Committee and local government coordinators of the movement in Osogbo on Sunday, the State Director, Engr. Kayode Sowade, said the group would intensify its grassroots activities to educate residents about the policies and programmes of the Tinubu administration.
Sowade said adequate information at the grassroots was necessary to enable residents to make informed decisions during the 2027 presidential election.
“Our target over the next thirty days is to register 250,000 Osun youths as members of the CityBoy Movement. It is an ambitious target, and we must approach it with seriousness,” he said.
He urged coordinators to ensure that their structures were active across the state, while maintaining proper documentation of registrations and reporting their progress.
Sowade noted that initiatives introduced by the Tinubu administration, including the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, CreditCorp, road projects and the unified foreign exchange market, could have limited impact if residents were not adequately informed about them.
He said the CityBoy Movement would therefore continue to engage residents at the grassroots to create awareness about government programmes and how citizens could benefit from them.
Also speaking, the patron of the movement in Osun State, Femi Oyetola, said the Federal Government had awarded several road projects in the state, which he claimed were contributing to socio-economic development.
Oyetola urged members of the movement to use their grassroots activities to highlight the projects and other government initiatives.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has done well for us in Osun State, and it is now our responsibility to reciprocate that support with our votes.
“This is not merely a political gathering; it is a call to responsibility,” he said.
Following the inauguration, the Director-General of the CityBoy Movement, Oluwatosin Shoga, also inaugurated the movement’s state secretariat in the Ogo-Oluwa area of Osogbo.
