Oyo State Governor and presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement, Seyi Makinde, has appointed Anthony Ehilebo as his Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communication.
The appointment takes immediate effect, according to Makinde’s Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olarenwaju, who announced it on Thursday in Ibadan, the state capital.
Makinde said Ehilebo’s experience as a lawyer and communication strategist would strengthen the APM’s campaign and help effectively communicate its message ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The governor also called on Nigerians to support the APM, describing the forthcoming election as an opportunity to change the country’s leadership and what he described as the failed administration of the All Progressives Congress.
“With unity, courage, and determination, we will reclaim Nigeria’s destiny and deliver the future our people deserve,” Makinde said.
The governor is expected to announce more members of his campaign team as preparations for the 2027 election intensify.
Makinde officially entered the 2027 presidential race on May 14, 2026, under an alliance between the Peoples Democratic Party and the APM.
He declared his ambition at a rally held at Mapo Hall in Ibadan, where he announced his candidacy for president under the PDP/APM alliance.
