2027: MY ACHIEVEMENTS WILL SECURE RE-ELECTION, SAYS BENUE GOVERNOR

Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has expressed confidence that the achievements of his administration will boost his chances of securing re-election in 2027.
The governor, through his Chief Press Secretary, Kula Tersoo, made the assertion in a statement issued on Sunday, saying he remained unfazed by what he described as opposition distractions.
Alia cited the recent signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Hudson Global Ltd, which is expected to attract $5 billion in investment to the state, as part of his administration’s efforts to transform Benue’s economic landscape.
He also highlighted ongoing infrastructural projects across the state, including the construction of rural and urban roads, industrial development, improved welfare for workers, support for senior citizens and billions of naira in investments.
According to the statement, the growing confidence in Benue’s economic prospects was reflected in the state’s recent investment initiatives.
It noted that the $5 billion investment agreement with Hudson Global Ltd was aimed at driving economic transformation and creating new opportunities for the people of the state.
The statement also listed regular payment of salaries and gratuities, the establishment of the Food Basket Bakery and road construction among the administration’s achievements.
The governor urged opposition politicians to focus on constructive engagement rather than political distractions, stressing that his administration remained committed to good governance.
He further stated that his government had strengthened accountability and transparency in the management of state resources, citing certifications and recognitions from reputable international audit firms.
According to the governor, his administration had also restored Benue to creditworthy status while creating a safer and more credible environment for investment.
