UPDATE: GOV. AHMAD ALIYU SWEARS IN 23 LG ADMINISTRATORS
The 23 freshly appointed sole administrators who will run the state’s 23 local government areas have been sworn in by Governor Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto State.
By working with security agencies to find a long-term solution to the problems of insecurity in some of the communities through regular security meetings, the governor charged the sole administrators to be dedicated to their people and prioritize the security and peace of their local government.
Additionally, Governor Aliyu urged the appointees to abstain from all forms of indiscipline and disdain for the operational standards governing the civil service and to adhere to the established processes and norms governing local government administration.
He commanded them to implement people-centred programmes and policies in order to prioritise the welfare of their citizens in the overall growth and advancement of their local government.
In order to make a positive difference in the lives of rural communities, the governor also urged the sole administrators to make hard labour, devotion to duty, and attention to the misery of their people hallmarks of their time in office.
