COURT ISSUES PUBLIC SUMMONS AGAINST YAHAYA BELLO

Justice Maryanne Anenih of the Federal Capital Territory’s High Court has issued a public summons to Yahaya Bello, the immediate former Governor of Kogi State, to appear in court and answer to a fresh 16-count ongoing allegations against him.

According to the summons, the former governor is scheduled to appear in court on October 24 to respond to the summons and be arraigned alongside two other defendants.

Justice Anenih made the order for public summons in response to an appeal by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Justice Anenih directed the EFCC to publish the public summons in a widely circulated publication.
