MILITARY TO REMAIN COMMITTED TO WELFARE OF TROOPS – CDS
The military high command will continue to put the wellbeing of its people, particularly those on the front lines, first, according to assurances from Gen. Christopher Musa, the Chief of Defence Staff, or CDS.
During a press conference on Wednesday to present the “Tribute to Our Troops,” an event planned to honor the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day and Celebration, Musa made this statement.
He claimed that the nation’s military and leadership value the sacrifices made by the warriors to maintain national security.
The CDS, who was represented by the Director of Civil-Military Relations, Defence Headquarters, Anthony Epe, said the event was a testament to the commitment of the military to foster unity, showcase resilience and celebrate the valour of servicemen and women who had dedicated their lives to safeguarding the country.
According to him the third edition of “Tribute to our Troops” is not just an event but a movement that combines the power of music, culture and philanthropy to honour the selfless sacrifices and bravery of the armed men and women of the Armed forces of Nigeria.
According to him, the occasion would also provide a special forum for fostering communication between the military and the general public, highlighting the significance of cooperation and understanding for the advancement of our wonderful country.
