FG TO CLOSE INDEPENDENCE BRIDGE IN LAGOS FOR MAINTENANCE

The Federal Government announced on Monday that the Independence Bridge (Marina-bound) will be closed from April 1 until the end of May 2025 for maintenance and rehabilitation.
Lagos Federal Controller of Works, Mrs. Olukorede Kesha, stated that the closure will impact traffic from Ahmadu Bello Way and Adeola Odeku toward Marina, Eko Bridge, and Onikan by Zone 2.
Motorists are advised to plan ahead and use alternative routes to ease congestion. Kesha apologized for the inconvenience and thanked the public for their cooperation in ensuring road safety.
