Super Eagles assistant captain Victor Osimhen has acknowledged Morocco’s advantage ahead of Nigeria’s AFCON semi-final clash on Wednesday night.
Osimhen, who will captain the team in the absence of suspended skipper Wilfred Ndidi, admitted that the match will be challenging due to the Atlas Lions’ strong support from home fans.
Speaking ahead of the game, the Galatasaray striker emphasized confidence in Nigeria’s chances despite the hostile environment.

“They have a very strong squad with talented players, but we are one of the most feared teams in this tournament,” Osimhen said in an interview with CBS Sports Golazo.
“Given the quality in our squad, there is no pressure in camp. We focus on one game at a time. We recently faced a formidable opponent in Algeria and demonstrated that we are serious contenders for the trophy.
“Of course, it won’t be easy, as Morocco will have thousands of supporters in the stands, which is an advantage for them. Many of us have experience playing in stadiums with large capacities, so personally, I feel no pressure. We will concentrate on our performance, give our best on match day, and aim for victory. While it will be challenging, we believe we have a real chance.”
