Nigeria’s Super Eagles will earn $2.5 million despite their 4–2 penalty shootout defeat to hosts Morocco in the semi-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Egypt’s Pharaohs, who also exited at the last-four stage following a 1–0 loss to Senegal, will receive the same prize money.

Both teams will meet in the third-place playoff at the Stade Mohammed V in Casablanca on Saturday.

The final will take place on Sunday, with Morocco facing Senegal for the title. The champions will pocket a record $10 million, while the runners-up are set to receive $4 million.
