The All Progressives Congress (APC) has begun its nationwide electronic membership registration, deploying a digital platform to create a unified and updated database of party members across Nigeria.
In Benue State, arrangements for the statewide rollout are in advanced stages, with the official flag-off scheduled for Monday, January 12, 2026.
The exercise will be led by Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia, who is expected to be the first registrant at his polling unit in Mbangur, Mbadede Council Ward, Vandeikya Local Government Area, by 10 a.m.
Expected at the event are members of the State Caretaker Committee, e-registration coordinators, chairmen of the party’s 23 local government chapters, head point men, Zone A supervisors, and ward registration agents from Vandeikya.
Also invited to witness the flag-off are the governor’s appointees from Vandeikya, Kunav APC stakeholders, and local support groups.
The party has called on elders, government officials, and both new and existing members to proceed to their respective wards for registration or liaise with designated ward agents.
APC further disclosed that possession of a National Identification Number (NIN) and Voter’s Identification Number (VIN) is mandatory for participation in the exercise.
The party noted that the registration exercise will run until the end of January, adding that only duly registered and verified members will be eligible to take part in forthcoming APC congresses.
