Reality TV personality Anita Natasha Akide, widely known as Tacha, has announced her intention to enter politics.
In a recent interview with Ebuka, the BBNaija alumna who hails from Port Harcourt expressed her frustration with the current state of affairs in Rivers State, pointing to its underutilized potential.
Tacha emphasized the critical role of young people in governance, lamenting the missed opportunities and overlooked talents within the state.
“When I look at states like Abuja and Lagos and see how much progress they’ve made, it’s disappointing that Rivers State, with all its potential, isn’t being developed, she said. “There are so many young people, so many talents. If the government could recognize and harness these, a lot could change.”
She argued that active participation in governance is more impactful than merely criticizing from the sidelines.
When asked about her political plans, Tacha hinted that something is in the works but prefers to remain quiet until it’s near completion.
“It’s something I’m currently working on,” she said. “I’d rather wait until it’s about 70% done before discussing it publicly. There’s no point talking about governance without being directly involved.”
In addition to her political aspirations, Tacha also revealed plans to attempt breaking the world record for the most makeup applications in 24 hours, setting her sights on 150 people.
