BOLAJI OGUNMOLA TO SUE AIRLINE FOLLOWING FLIGHT DISRUPTIONS IN EKITI

Popular Nollywood actress Bolaji Ogunmola has accused United Nigeria Airline of repeated flight cancellations and delays, threatening legal action over what she described as gross inconvenience and loss of livelihood.
The actress said she travelled to Ekiti State for work and was scheduled to return to Lagos on Wednesday for another film production but was left stranded after her flight was cancelled twice within two days without adequate communication from the airline.
In a video shared on her Instagram page on Thursday morning, Ogunmola expressed frustration over the situation, stating that she had incurred additional expenses on accommodation and logistics while repeatedly being given shifting departure times.
According to her account, after her initial flight was cancelled on Wednesday, she was informed that the rescheduled flight for Thursday morning had been moved several times—from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., then to 12:00 p.m., and later to 5:30 p.m.—without prior notice.
She lamented that the disruptions forced her to miss a scheduled film shoot in Lagos, with her production crew already on set, adding that she was compelled to consider road travel despite safety concerns.
Describing the experience as distressing, Ogunmola said the airline showed no remorse or professionalism, noting that the repeated delays affected not only her time but also her means of livelihood. She disclosed that her legal team would pursue the matter, stating, “My lawyer will take this up.
The incident comes barely a month after the commencement of commercial flight operations in Ekiti State.
