BREAKING: WIFE AND DAUGHTER OF KWARA APC CHAIRMAN ABDUCTED

A five-member group of armed individuals, believed to be kidnappers, has seized the spouse and daughter of Alhaji Muhammad Swasun, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Patigi Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The individuals affected by this incident, which transpired in the Sakpefu vicinity of the local government, have been identified as Hajiya Fatima, the chairman’s spouse, and Amina, his daughter.
The media has reliably learned that the assault took place on Sunday night when the attackers scaled the fence surrounding the chairman’s property and commenced firing indiscriminately to instill terror among the inhabitants.
The assailants reportedly breached one of the rooms where they located the wife and daughter and forcefully took them away at gunpoint.
A member of the state executive council of the party, who requested confidentiality, confirmed the occurrence in a discussion with the mediaon Monday morning.
“It is indeed true that our Chairman’s wife and daughter in Patigi were kidnapped last night.

“I conversed with him this morning; he expressed that he felt fortunate to have avoided abduction by the criminals, who leaped over his fence into the compound and began shooting erratically into the air.
“He mentioned that they entered one of the rooms, found his wife and daughter, and abducted them while firing into the air,” he recounted in a somber tone.
The media has reliably gathered that the armed group operated for several minutes before taking their victims to an undisclosed location.
“The kidnappers seized his wife, Haja Fatima, and his daughter, Amina, transporting them to an unknown destination,” remarked another party member during an interview.
It is noteworthy that Patigi and other areas in Kwara North have recently experienced numerous cases of abduction, prompting residents to urge the government and security forces to intensify their measures to address this issue.
When approached regarding the latest abduction in Patigi, Kwara State Police Commissioner, Mr. Adekimi Ojo, stated that he was unaware of the incident.
“I have not yet been informed,” he told the media.
