The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Fatai, psc, mnips, on Tuesday led a team of operational officers on an on-the-spot security assessment visit to Pan-Atlantic University, Lekki, following the circulation of a viral video showing two masked individuals emerging from a forested area near the institution.
During the visit, the Commissioner met with the university management and reviewed the institution’s existing security arrangements. He stressed the need for continuous strengthening of the school’s security architecture, urging the adoption of proactive measures to prevent security breaches.

CP Fatai advised the management to enhance perimeter security, improve access control systems, and maintain close coordination with security agencies operating within the Lekki axis. He also cautioned against actions that could undermine or compromise ongoing security efforts on campus.
As part of broader support for security operations in the area, the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), in collaboration with the state government, has deployed surveillance drones to boost aerial monitoring, intelligence gathering, and crime prevention around the university environment.
The Commissioner reassured students, staff, parents, and the university community of the Command’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property across Lagos State. He further urged residents to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious activities to security authorities.
