EID UL-MAWLID: FUBARA URGES MUSLIMS TO EMBRACE PEACE, COMPASSION

Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has congratulated Muslims in the state and across Nigeria on the occasion of Eid ul-Mawlid, marking the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.
In his goodwill message, Fubara urged Muslim faithful to reflect on the Prophet’s teachings and uphold virtues such as peace, compassion, tolerance, selflessness and service to humanity.
The governor, in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Onwuka Nzeshi, on Tuesday morning, said embracing these values would promote harmony and drive positive transformation in society.
Fubara prayed for Allah’s acceptance of the prayers of Muslim faithful, as well as good health, prosperity and lasting peace in Rivers State and Nigeria.

He said Rivers State remained proud of its religious diversity and the spirit of unity shared among Christians, Muslims and people of other faiths.
The governor appreciated the contributions of Muslims to the growth and development of the state, urging residents to continue promoting harmony, tolerance and mutual understanding.
He further encouraged the people to uphold compassion, forgiveness and unity in their daily interactions.
Fubara reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to ensuring that all residents of Rivers State, irrespective of their religious or ethnic backgrounds, enjoyed peace, security and equal opportunities to prosper.
