EPL: OSIMHEN WOULD GIVE ARSENAL POWERFUL ATTACKING PRESENCE — PETIT

Former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Petit has backed Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen to provide the Gunners with a strong physical presence in attack if he joins the Premier League club.
Petit made the comments while discussing Arsenal’s attacking options, identifying Osimhen as a possible alternative to Julián Alvarez, who has reportedly been valued at around £100 million.
According to the former France international, Osimhen and Alvarez possess different qualities, but the Nigerian striker could offer Arsenal greater physical strength and presence in the final third.
“Next one for Arsenal then is Victor Osimhen at £100 million,” Petit said.
“They are different players. Not the same quality as Alvarez, but he will bring a powerful presence up front.”
Petit also pointed to Osimhen’s pace, determination and strong personality as attributes that could make him an effective option for Arsenal.
“He’s fast, he’s a fighter, he’s got a bad temper as well, a strong personality,” he added.
The former midfielder said Osimhen would provide something different from Alvarez, while stressing that both forwards would be quality options for Arsenal.
“So, he will bring something different from Alvarez, but it’s two different options. Both of them are good,” Petit said.
Osimhen has established himself as one of Europe’s top strikers, earning recognition for his pace, strength, movement and ability to exploit space in the final third.
A potential move to Arsenal would see the Nigerian return to the Premier League, where his physical style and goalscoring ability could offer Mikel Arteta another dimension in attack.
