Musician Femi Kuti Says He Wants No Online Drama with Korra Obidi
Afrobeat musician Femi Kuti has jokingly said he has no interest in becoming the subject of online controversy involving celebrity dancer Korra Obidi.
The singer made the remark while politely declining to pose for a photo with Obidi after a live concert in Lagos.
His reaction comes months after Korra Obidi sparked controversy with a twerking tribute at the gravesite of Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti during a visit in December 2025.
In a video shared by Korra on Instagram on Friday, Femi Kuti, while explaining that he already has enough challenges to deal with, said he was not interested in inviting unnecessary drama.
He called on his sister, Yeni Kuti, to join the photo, saying it would help avoid any possible controversy.
“YK, come and enter this picture. I don’t want any problems in my life. I have enough problems. Seems the gods don’t even want this picture, that’s why it’s raining,” he said jokingly.
Sharing the clip, Korra Obidi wrote:
“Uncle Femi doesn’t want wahala. Yesterday after my private live concert, I met the legends @femiakuti and @yeniakuti at Legacy Studios. I am so honored. Thank you @bigbirdkuti.”
