FLYING EAGLES STAR OGBELU JOINS LIBYAN CLUB AL-ITTIHAD

Nigerian midfielder Onuche Ogbelu has completed a permanent move to Libyan club Al-Ittihad SC.

The 23-year-old signed a three-year contract with the Tripoli-based side after leaving Tunisian giants Esperance following the expiration of his deal.

Ogbelu joined Esperance in 2023 from Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Nasarawa United and went on to make 54 league appearances for the club, scoring twice for the “Blood and Gold.”

On the international stage, he represented Nigeria at the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Egypt, where the Flying Eagles finished third.

Following the tournament, he was among four players invited to train with the Super Eagles.
