FORMER KEBBI DEPUTY GOVERNOR ALIYU PASSES ON AFTER ILLNESS

Former Deputy Governor of Kebbi State, Alhaji Ibrahim Aliyu, has died after a prolonged illness.

Aliyu, a respected elder statesman and former public servant from Yauri Local Government Area, passed away on Friday at a hospital in Sokoto State.

His death has sparked an outpouring of tributes from political leaders and residents, who praised his years of dedicated service to Kebbi State.

Reacting to the development, Governor Nasir Idris described Aliyu’s passing as a great loss to the Yauri Emirate, Kebbi State and the country.

The governor’s condolence message was conveyed in a statement issued on Friday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Yahaya Sarki.

According to the statement, Idris said the late former deputy governor lived a life of selfless service, integrity and commitment to the development of society, leaving behind a legacy of humility and exemplary leadership.

He extended his condolences to Aliyu’s family, the people of the Yauri Emirate, friends and associates, praying Allah to forgive the deceased’s shortcomings, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus and comfort those mourning his death.

Governor Idris added that Aliyu’s contributions to the growth and development of Kebbi State, both as a senior civil servant and later as deputy governor, would remain a source of inspiration for future generations.

He noted that the late statesman would be remembered not only for his accomplishments in public office but also for his professionalism, diligence and distinguished service in the civil service, where he earned widespread respect and admiration.
