JOHESU CALLS OFF NATIONWIDE STRIKE AFTER 84 DAYS

The Joint Health Sector Unions (JOHESU) has called off its nationwide strike after 84 days of industrial action.
The decision to suspend the strike was made at the conclusion of an emergency meeting of JOHESU’s expanded National Executive Council (NEC) held in Abuja on Friday.

The meeting was reportedly convened to assess the outcomes of the conciliation talks between the Federal Government and JOHESU, which took place on Thursday at the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment headquarters.
In a communique released following the meeting, the union stated that the strike has been suspended to facilitate the implementation of the FG-JOHESU Terms of Settlement.
