KAMO STATE REFUTES FUNKE AKINDELE FALLOUT RUMOURS

Popular Nigerian skit performer and actor Akinyoola Ayoola, who goes by the name Kamo State, has said that rumors about a disagreement with actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele are not true.He said they are still close friends, even though they don’t spend as much time together in public anymore.
In an interview with BBC Yoruba, which was shared on Wednesday, the comedian said their less frequent public appearances are because both of them have really busy schedules.
He explained that both he and Funke have become very busy with their work, so they don’t have as much time to be together as they used to.
“We are still together, even closer. But now she is very busy with her December project, which didn’t give her a chance. I am also not the same as I used to be last year, and her prayer is that I should also always be called to work on projects,” he said.
Kamo also appealed to fans and social media users to stop spreading false narratives about their relationship.
“There is no fight; don’t let people paint what doesn’t exist,” he added.
Recalling how their relationship began, the skit maker said he had admired Akindele long before meeting her, describing the actress as one of his biggest inspirations.
“Before I met her, she had been like a role model to me; I love her very much. The first time I saw her in person was on the set of Everybody Loves Jenifa.

Kamo maintained that there is no misunderstanding between them, insisting that their relationship remains intact despite their demanding work schedules.
