KANO GOV YUSUF CELEBRATES SULTAN SA’AD ABUBAKAR AT 70

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has congratulated the Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, on his 70th birthday.

Yusuf described the Sultan as a distinguished traditional and religious leader whose years of service have contributed significantly to peace, unity and peaceful coexistence in Nigeria.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by his spokesperson, Sunusi Tofa, the governor praised Sultan Sa’ad Abubakar for providing leadership and guidance on issues affecting the Muslim community and the nation.

He commended the Sultan’s efforts to promote unity among Muslims, as well as dialogue and understanding across religious and ethnic divides.

Yusuf said the Sultan’s leadership of the Sokoto Caliphate and the NSCIA had made him a respected voice on peace, security, tolerance and national development.

According to him, the Sultan’s 70th birthday represents not only a personal milestone but also an opportunity to celebrate his contributions to Nigeria and humanity.

The governor prayed for the Sultan’s continued good health, wisdom, strength and longevity, while wishing him many more years of impactful service and leadership.
