KEBBI CP VISITS IMMIGRATION AFTER OFFICERS WERE KILLED IN SUSPECTED TERROR ATTACK

The police chief of Kebbi State, CP Bello M. Sani, visited the Nigeria Immigration Service Command in Birnin Kebbi on Monday. He went there to show support after three immigration officers were killed in a suspected terror attack in Bakin Ruwa last week.
He arrived at the command‘s office around 12:50 p.m. and met with the acting comptroller, DCO M.I. Chinoko.
They talked about the loss and expressed their sadness over what CP Sani called a big tragedy for all security workers in the state.
CP Sani said during the visit, “We pray that Allah gives the officers peace in the afterlife and gives their families the strength to deal with this big loss.”
He also said the attack was not just a problem for the immigration service but a serious hit for all security groups in Kebbi State.

“An injury to one is an injury to all. What affects the Immigration Service affects the Police, because we are one team committed to protecting Kebbi State,” he added.
The CP reaffirmed the joint resolve of security agencies to intensify efforts against criminal elements.
“Our commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of our people remains unwavering,” he said.
Responding, Acting Comptroller Chinoko thanked everyone for showing support, saying the Police leader had shown “leadership by example.”
“Your visit during this tough time means a lot.
We are grateful for your support and for your commitment to building better teamwork between security agencies in Kebbi State,” Chinoko said.
The visit concluded with special prayers led by the Command’s Chief Imam, ASP Suleiman Baffa, for the souls of the officers who were killed.
On Saturday, the NIS confirmed that three of its officers were killed by armed attackers, who are suspected to be linked to the Lukarawa group in Kebbi State.
People from the area said that armed individuals attacked the immigration checkpoint and shot at the officers who were there, killing three of them right away.
