LAGOS GOVERNMENT URGES DIGITAL CREATORS TO PROTECT CHILDREN ONLINE
By Aishat Momoh. O.

The Lagos State Government has called on content creators, influencers, skit makers, and digital media producers to ensure that their creativity does not compromise the safety, dignity, or well-being of children.
Emphasising that children have the right to protection both online and offline, the government warned that responsible content creation is a legal and moral obligation.
“As digital platforms continue to grow, safeguarding minors is not optional—it is a duty for everyone,” the statement said. “Let us create content that informs, entertains, and empowers without causing harm.”
The government urged all stakeholders to take child protection seriously, summarising its message: “See it. Say it. Sort it.”
