The English Football Association (FA) on Friday said findings by an independent commission that Manchester City had breached financial rules raised “implications for the integrity of the game.”
In a statement, the national governing body said it was “carefully considering the decision and its implications” and would take appropriate action where necessary.
The FA, however, said it would refrain from further comment while proceedings between the Premier League and Manchester City remain ongoing.
“We will, however, continue to monitor developments closely,” the association added.
